Donating money to St Nicholas Church

Weekly Costs

It costs each member of the congregation about £7.50 per week to pay for the costs of the ministry (stipend, house and pension contributions) and provide regular services at St Nicholas Church.  The Parish and its Ministry provide a Christian witness of mission and service to the town of Alcester and its surrounding community.  Please help the congregation to maintain this important presence.

If you would like to donate towards the running costs of St Nicholas Church please do so in one of the following ways:

Weekly offering envelopes

A set of envelopes serves as a weekly reminder to put an offering into the collection.  The envelopes are are numbered for discreet identification of those on whose behalf Gift Aid can be claimed (see below). Please ring 01789 763509 to obtain a set.

Standing Order

This is the most efficient and convenient way of making a regular offering.   Standing orders may be made either on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis. (It is particularly useful for those unable to attend regularly)

The church bank account is at Lloyds Bank 30-98-26.  Please credit St Nicholas Church Alcester PCC, account number 1143884.

Cheques may be sent direct to the Rector, St Nicholas Rectory, Old Rectory Garden, Alcester, B49 5DB, or placed in the wall safe.

Internet bank transfer   Please use the account codes above and reference to St Nicholas Church, Alcester.

Fabric

It costs approximately £5000 per year to maintain the fabric of St Nicholas Church.  This is over and above the weekly running costs. Donations should be specifically marked 'For Fabric' and addressed either to the Rector, placed in the wall safe, or handed into the Bookstall when open.

Church House

There is now a separate fund for the development of Church House, which provides the main hall for the Church.  It is in dire need of modern accessible toilets and a bigger kitchen.  It has been estimated that refurbishment of the whole premises will cost about £250,000.

Local fund raising is under way - please see the events page for forthcoming activities.

Donations of any amount will be gratefully received for this important project.

Gift Aid

The Church can reclaim income tax at 28 pence per pound donated from Tax Payers who make a Gift Aid Declaration.

Please ring 01789 763509 for a Gift Aid form.

Alternatively donations may be placed in the white envelopes provided at the church for visitors.  Please fill in donor details on the front and place the envelope either in the collection or in the wall safe.
